Maddy

Our dog Maddy loves her photo taken...it is pretty funny. My girls are getting big! I feel like this year is already flying by! How does time go so fast...maybe because we are having fun? :)

Family

My family! I forget how hard it is to get yourself all ready, your kids ready, your other half ready and out the door to get family photos done. Lots of planning, clothing choices, haircuts, hair accessories (welcome to the world of two girls), and making sure you all smile and look at the camera. Well, that part is obviously not so important to me since I am the one who was looking somewhere else...haha! It just all seems so crazy when I go to get my own family photos done, but so easy when I am the one taking the photos. I am much more at ease behind the camera that in front of it. That being said, every year I still go to get our photos taken and capture those moments that will be gone in a flash. My big girl with her missing top teeth and my little girl that is catching up to her big sister too fast.
Last week I had surgery and was home more trying to recoup from a quick bilateral lumpectomy that seemed to slow me down for a few days. It takes a lot to make me sit down and not move for a few minutes (or hours in this case). I was looking at some of my coffee table books with the last 6 years of family photos. I love to savor the way my kids looked, what they were like at that time, and how much they have grown and changed. I will have to dig up a photo from each year and post them....so fun to look at! The books are quite wrinkled from the little hands that have enjoyed looking at them as well. (Yes, I have a saved copy of each in the closet)
The girls must look at those daily and are amazed that they were little once.
Even if I am not the photographer for you, I encourage you to try and get photos taken of your family (including you, the mom probably reading this)to remember this time before the new year rings in.
It really does not seem possible the holidays are around the corner while I stood sweating to death waiting for my 1st grader in the pick up line today, but the season is sneaking up fast!
Anyway, since time is flying by, I realized that it is nearly September and the start of holiday sessions. I take September, October and November for mainly holiday sessions. The last session to guarantee holiday cards is November 21st.
Get those sessions booked and try not to break a sweat looking for your holiday card apparel! Happy Holidays...haha!

My girl is 3!

Where does the time go? It has been so crazy around here, I forgot to post Gianna's photo....she is a little bit sassy, a whole lot sweet...loves her big sister, music, art, and most of all....animals. Mainly dogs....as in she is obessed with them!
She is so tall...41 inches. 98% for her age group. It was the 1st Dr. visit where she was not upset about going. She only cried when she got a shot. She was actually happy that her Dr. (Dr. Kaus) is so nice and she got a purple lollipop. Love this girl....just wish time would slow down a bit. :)

My dancer girl

Gianna just turned 3 and has decided it is time to be in dance :) It is the same class her sister started in 3.5 years ago...tap and ballet combo class. They are so cute at this age. I am trying to soak up the last few days before my big girl is in
1st grade because before I know it, Gianna will be starting school too!
Honestly, as I was editing these photos, I started to tear up...it is all going too fast for me. I am taking deep breaths and trying to capture these moments as they come so I can try to remember how proud I felt as my girls take on new adventures and new milestones in their lives. :)

Congratulations!

Amazing Giveaway from Tina Steinberg Designs!!

Have you ever found a piece a jewelry that is so unique that it takes you by complete surprise? Well, this is how I felt about Tina Steinberg's Designs. As an art major, I was lucky to take jewelry classes. We cast little statues, married metals, cast rings, and anything else we could make from wax to sterling silver. They were some of my favorite classes and I still have most of the items I made. This is why I love Tina's pieces so much! I know the time and labor that goes into creating a custom piece and it takes a lot of work and a love for the art. She takes finger prints (love touch) and casts them in metal to wear as heartfelt jewelry. One of my favorite pieces though, is the circle of love locket with two oval charms with loved ones names on the charms. I have seen so many variations of having your child's name in wearable form, but this is truly a work of art! All pieces are custom made and unique.
Tina has been kind enough to donate one of these round lockets with two charms to a lucky winner that follows Shannon Fisher Photography. Locket is sized 1 inch and .5 inches thick. It is double sided on a swivel so you can rotate it and see through glass on the other side. (Valued at $135)
There will be one lucky winner, but she is giving 2 weeks of free shipping just for you! Enter "Meesh" at check out and get your gorgeous jewelry shipped at no cost to you!

FAQ:
Does it count if my friends "like" my status that I copied and pasted on my own personal page?

No, they must go to Shannon Fisher Photography's page on FB to "like" your post.

My friend says they do not see a "like" button for my post on your page...what happened?

They probably did not "like" the Shannon Fisher Photography page first to enable the ability to like postings.

Why are there @ symbols in the copy and paste post?

When you use an @ symbol before a person's name or company FB page, it will highlight a link to that page for easy access in the status. Basically, they do not have to search for the page or person you are talking about.

How do I encourage my friends to vote for me?

Here are a couple examples, but you can get creative on your own too....

1. Send them a message such as, "Please vote for my posting on Shannon Fisher Photography's page so I can get the most votes to win an awesome locket from Tina Steinberg's Designs! All you have to do is like her page and then like my posting!"

2.If you are feeling a little more eager to win, you can create an event on your FB page and invite your friends to vote this way
Good luck!!

Prescott

The weather was amazing! It was a little hard to have a photoshoot since it was lightly raining, but my girls still were hamming it up! :)
If anyone wants to book a session in Prescott, summer is a great time and there are lots of pretty green areas or urban spots too!
